The Ones That Got Away

Blood rushes from my heart to the capillaries in my trigger finger.

The slob cringes on the chair before me. He begs in vain for a life that he has used as a sanctimonious scimitar.

I squeeze the trigger well. His head disintegrates into screaming red. Brain matter spatters everywhere including on the computer. A flirtatious instant message pops up on the screen. More demons flutter underneath my eye lids.

I reply to the instant message and thus begins my first cyber sexual tryst. Soon we are ogling each other by web cam. They are lecherous on screen. I yearn to bludgeon them to death, to stream the blood across the net.

Soon enough the game pales in comparison to the malice in my heart. I get tired of all that cyber role playing. I need big screams to obliterate worlds. So I shove the bloodied head in front of the camera.

And as they scream like it is their exclusive right I whisper into the microphone.

“I can do the same to you.”

Moments later I squeeze the trigger again.

Spiritual Burn

We were drinking sin. We were smoking redemption. There was no cloud cover. She swept into view behind a flame.

“What do you need?” I asked.

She blinked and rattled in tongues. Her short cropped hair threatened to tickle my vision.

“What do you need?” I repeated with another gulp of sin.

“I thought I heard orgasmic things,” she replied.
